Brother's PED-Basic(R) is the first step toward opening up a vast world of new embroidery designs for your emboirdery machine. PED-Basic(R) allows you to download embroidery designs perform simple editing operations to embroidery data (.pes files) and write those .pes files to original cards for your embroidery machine. .pes files can also be purchased or obtained from the internet. PED-Basic(R) features three frame sizes a realistic stitch design preview print design previews which can be used as placement templates when embroidering and built-in embroidery samples.

I have a Brother SE-350. When I entered the card in to the machine it simply said "This card does not work with this machine." I have no idea why that would be and am very frustrated.

I purchased this item from Ken's Sewing and Vacuum Store. Unfortunately, I had to ship it back to them because it stopped working. But, they have a 30-day policy where they agree to check out the item and/or replace it. I am waiting to hear back from them. Barbara in their customer service department was very friendly and helpful.

Just what my wife has been looking for. After fighting for several years to understand PE-Design this product has solved the problem and made life easier. She can download whatever designs she wants and many of them are free. Easy to understand and makes things easy.

It is a very basic software - all you can do is to change the size of images from 90% to 120%,preview and download them on your design card.If you have windows 7 do not use the CD software that comes with it. It's too primitive for it. [...]
The software works great and is simple and basic. You'll be very happy with it unless your expectations exceed the software's capabilities.
