5 out of 5 stars Great product!   May 18, 2010

This worked perfect for my use. The drawstring kept going into my shorts and pajamas. I did online research on a remedy, and was told that a Bodkin is what I needed. I bought mine at a Fabric shop for about the same price. It works great. I think this is what it is made for. I tried the 'safety pin' trick on the first pair of shorts, and it worked, but the Bodkin was much faster and easier. First, remove the drawstring completely. Then take your Bodkin and just slide the ring up, to allow the tweezer to open, clip the tweezer on the drawstring, slide the ring back down to lock the tweezer teeth on the drawstring, then simply slide the Bodkin thru the hole.. and around the shorts.. and out the other hole, and you are done. Another trick I read about in my research is to put a stitch in the back of the shorts/pants.. thru the fabric & drawstring, and the drawstring wont disappear again.

I brought this to put eleastic through a mob cap I was sewing, this is terrible, I went out and brught old-fashioned saferty pins to do the job, and it worked.

If there's another bodkin on the market buy it, not this!!!
